Trevino’s Record Store – Houghton Festival 2026

Houghton Festival returned to Norfolk in 2026 for another weekend celebrating music, art and discovery. Among the festival’s many unique spaces was Trevino’s Record Store – a pop-up record store housed inside a yurt, bringing together vinyl, music lovers and DJs in an intimate setting.
For three days, the yurt became a meeting point for crate-diggers, collectors and festival-goers, with records being browsed, conversations flowing and music playing throughout the weekend.
To help create the right listening environment, Trevino’s partnered with Wharfedale Pro to provide a 360° sound system designed specifically for the space. Rather than relying on a conventional front-facing PA, the system was designed to surround the audience with sound. The following system was deployed:
For Trevino’s, the sound system needed to complement the atmosphere rather than dominate it. The combination of distributed GPL-8 loudspeakers and compact, high-output GPL-28B subwoofers provided a powerful yet controlled system that worked naturally within the yurt.
The result was a truly 360° listening experience that helped transform the space into more than just a record store. Music could be heard consistently throughout the yurt, creating an environment where visitors could discover new records, connect with other music lovers and simply enjoy the festival atmosphere.
As Inverted Audio put it:
“A big thank you also to the team at Wharfedale Pro for the 360° sound system that made the yurt sound as good as it looked.”
