My subwoofers sound weak or out of phase, what should I do?
If you notice a big loss of bass or think the subs may be “out of phase,” the most common cause is wiring or polarity.
- Check basics first – Verify every cable, connector, and amplifier channel is wired correctly and in good condition.
- Check DSP / crossover settings – Ensure the processor isn’t inverting polarity or adding delay that could cancel bass.
- Contact your authorised distributor or service centre – If the issue continues, please contact your local authorised Wharfedale Pro distributor.

Both our Connect and SL mixers work perfectly with a Windows, Mac or Linux computer, meaning no driver is required!
Simply connect the mixer to the computer with the USB cable and, because the mixer is a ‘Class Compliant’ USB audio device, it will simply use the internal driver software of your host computer. With the mixer connected and turned on, just select the USB audio driver in your system settings/device manager and suddenly you’ve got a digital audio connection to and from your computer.

Can I use 3rd party amplifiers to power my Wharfedale Pro loudspeakers?
We don’t recommend using 3rd party amplifiers with our loudspeakers, as not using our own amplifiers with DSP diminishes the sound quality, as no FIR/EQ settings are applied. It also increases the risk of damage, as our presets are carefully tuned.
The middle solution would be to use our XC-44F/N system controller and running the 3rd party amplifiers through it, while still using our dedicated presets.
The power rating of amplifiers should be matching or higher than the power ratings of the speakers as stated on our website. It is dangerous to use less powered amplifiers as clipping the amplifier can cause damage to the speaker even far from the maximum power load.
