Located in Airdrie, Scotland, CrossFit Airdrie is a 24/7 fitness facility combining an indoor CrossFit and weights gym with an outdoor football stadium area used for additional cardio and fitness activities.

The facility recently underwent renovations, creating an opportunity for DizzyFish to expand and upgrade the current audio system with separate volume control for the indoor and outdoor areas.

Inside the gym, eight TITAN-X12 loudspeakers provide powerful and consistent coverage throughout the CrossFit and weights areas. Their robust construction, broad coverage and high-quality sound make them well suited to the demands of a busy commercial fitness environment operating around the clock.

A further two TITAN-X12 loudspeakers were installed outdoors within the stadium. This area is used for cardio fitness activities, including climbing the stadium steps when the football pitch is not in use.

One of the key installation challenges was the lack of convenient fixing points within the gym. The TITAN-X12’s multiple M8 mounting points provided a flexible solution, allowing the loudspeakers to be securely suspended from the building’s structural beams using eyelets and chains.

The system is powered by a DP Series amplifier, providing dedicated amplification and separate volume control for the indoor and outdoor areas. This allows the audio system to be easily managed according to how each area of the facility is being used.

Following an earlier Wharfedale Pro installation, the recent renovation provided an opportunity for CrossFit Airdrie to expand the system and upgrade its amplification. The venue remains highly satisfied with the performance and flexibility of the Wharfedale Pro system.

We recently did some renovations and moved the amplifier location and added some space, so decided to overhaul the amplifier in the gym to a multi-area system and add speakers inside and out with separate volume control.
