Wharfedale Pro Delivers All-Weather Audio System to Yangtian Lake Grassland.

Set amidst the stunning alpine meadows of southern China, Yangtian Lake Grassland has emerged as a key destination for cultural tourism and outdoor recreation. Following a significant upgrade, the scenic area now features IP54 certified loudspeakers, DP-i installation amplifiers, and Versadrive DSP signal processing, delivering consistent, high-quality audio in one of the region’s most demanding outdoor environments.

Known for its unpredictable mountain weather and ecological sensitivity, Yangtian Lake Grassland is constantly exposed to frequent rainfall, wide temperature swings, and high humidity, presenting tough conditions for any technical installation.

This project marks a continued collaboration between Wharfedale Pro and the Yangtian Lake Scenic Area, with successful installations completed in both 2023 and 2025. The design team focused on harmonising high-performance audio solutions with the site’s ecological sensitivities and extreme weather conditions. The following system was deployed:

• 8 x WLA-210XF line array elements (4+4 stereo configuration)
• TITAN 8 IP54 certified loudspeakers
• DP-8015i 8 channel installation amplifier
• DP-4120 4 channel amplifier
• XR3500 2 channel amplifier
• VERSADRIVE SC signal processing

The Installation team said:

“After installation and commissioning, the system delivered flawless performance, overcoming challenges such as achieving uniform sound coverage at high altitudes and minimising wind noise. Every detail was carefully considered to balance precise audio distribution, weather resistance, and seamless landscape integration – ensuring long-term reliability and crystal-clear sound.”
