WLA-1 and WLA-28A Bring Energy to Leeds’ Testbed for Horsemeat Disco Event.

Testbed, a dynamic event space in Leeds, recently hosted the vibrant Horsemeat Disco event with a powerful Wharfedale Pro system. The deployment delivered impactful sound across the venue, showcasing the capabilities of the WLA-1 and WLA-28A series.

Testbed Leeds is known for its versatile event space, accommodating a wide range of performances, exhibitions and club nights. Its industrial aesthetic and open layout make it an ideal location for high-energy music events that demand reliable, wide-coverage audio solutions.

The system was supplied through Soundjunkies, with thanks to James at Testbed for the invitation to deliver a Wharfedale Pro solution for the event. The following system was deployed:

• 4 x WLA-112 Passive
• 4 x WLA-121SUB Passive
• 4 x WLA-28SUBA
• 2 x WLA common dolly
• Powered by DP-F amplifiers

No additional infill was required, thanks to the wide dispersion of the WLA-1 system, which impressed the in-house sound engineers. The double 15-inch subs provided an energetic kick, while the 21-inch subwoofers delivered powerful low-end support, creating a full and balanced sound experience throughout the venue.
