Perhaps the best outdoor sound system in Basel!

Right next to the Elisabethenkirche this week is the so-called Swiss Square, which is home to perhaps the best sound system in the public squares. If you want to listen to the songs in good quality, this is the place to be. There is plenty of seating in the form of beer benches, with space around them to enjoy the action standing up.

The atmosphere is great and the culinary offerings range from crêpes to Greek and Indian food, pasta and even lasagne. For dessert, there is ice cream in various combinations. The prices are average compared to other public viewing spots in Basel. The audience mainly speaks Basel German.

The Swiss Square in Basel is not an insider tip, but you can hear the music from far away, it is simply a tip – especially because of the very good sound system and the beautiful ambience next to the colourfully illuminated Elisabethenkirche.
